  • Current Series: What about us?

    The book of Lamentations is the voices of a nation in mourning of independence that has been lost, their future seems finished, and they are slowly clamoring for comfort and hope. The book also carries a profound message of faith that is resolved to wait for God and believe in Him in the midst of painful loss. In the five chapters there is five poems that are expressed out in grief that flows like tears. Sorrow after sorrow after sorrow after sorrow and yet not once in the conversation does God's voice appear.
    Lent is a season of death: a time for us to be aware of our own deadness, dying and traditional observance of Jesus' crucifixion and burial as well. Lent carries us to Easter, anticipating resurrection, looking always toward the promise that in Christ's death, there is Life. Join us during Lent this year as we explore this book together, acknowledging the painful hows of grief, suffering, and our own falling short. Together we will discover the messages of compassion, hope, justice, and comfort that God speaks even in the times when He seems silent.

  • Sunday @ 11:00 AM

    We gather for service at 11:00 AM Sunday mornings.  Make sure to come in a bit early and get some coffee before service.  If you have children we suggest arriving at least 15 minutes before the service start so that the kids can be checked in to God's Backyard. Kids from newbon thru 5th grade will have a great time in God's Backyard.

    Sunday Evening Encounter!

     Come check out Sunday Evening Encounter! starting on March 14.  Is Sunday your only day to sleep in? Do you work on Sunday?  Is Sunday your day for recreation? Have a husband who will not come to church this is for you and him! Is Church boring or meaningless to you?  Then Join us for a whole new experience Sunday Nights at Encounter. It Starts with a tailgate style( bring your favorite dish to share, a grill will be available in nice weather ) food gathering at 6:00 At 6:30.  Then join us for the "Gathering", a Time that will be real about God, Family, And all your your lives.  And stay around at 7:15 we will have Hang out time or if you need to get the kids Home for school the next day. Yes we will have "The Backyard" Children's ministry for children from newborn to 5th grade. Can't wait to see you there!
     
  • Series: Insurrection

    I just read an article the other day talking about a large Church in California that raised 2.4 million dollars in four days to overcome a budgeting shortcoming for the fiscal year. The pastor said this was the biggest support of giving he had seen in such a short time.  That same week I read another article that said that 12.6 million children in the United States experience hunger.  I wonder how much money would have been raised if a challenge was sent out to feed children in need.  Would it be the biggest giving ever?  This series is about these two facts and what God calls us as Christ followers to be.  This series is about looking at the culture of the Church and seeing what it has and has not done well to respond to these issues. We want to invite you to join us over the next six weeks as we learn about the Church culture and what God is calling its people to become....to start....an insurrection....an uprising

Announcing Encounter's Cares Ministries
The Cares ministry has several services that are offered.  These services are available to our community. We are currently offering help for Young and Expectant Parents by providing some essential items needed for early child care (to 3 years old) to people in need in our community.

We also have our Mobile Message Ministry where "we bring church to you".
